Located conveniently between renowned Healesville wildlife Sanctuary and the delightful Badger Weir Park, is Nolan Vineyard of the Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley is famous for its wine, fresh food and breathtaking scenery and offers a world class experience. This is the place where Victorian winegrowing started, and is Victoria's oldest and most visited wine region, located only one hours drive from Melbourne's CBD and airport.
Nolan Vineyard has 2 hectares of select Pinot Noir grape varieties, now complemented by a recent Sauvignon Blanc planting. The north facing site is on a narrow valley floor, two-thirds on ancient creek bed alluvial soils and rocks, the balance on gently sloping grey loam. The vines are non irrigated. Wines produced from this cold valley floor site display intense aromas and flavours and varietal characters.
The fruit is hand picked to ensure optimum quality for winemaking. Our annual grape harvest has become a traditional social event that includes our extended family and friends enjoying a barbeque and wine for their efforts.
Since 2004 Nolan Vineyard has produced several vintages of fine Pinot Noir suited to cellaring for three or four years, as well as a refreshingly fruity Pinot Rose. Some vintages are perfectly ready for the table now.
